Guidelines on cosmetic
surgery
BEAUTY procedures that can be performed by trained beauticians include
chemical peels, cellulite and shape control, hair removal,
microdermabrasion and nutritional advice.
Aesthetic procedures that can
only be performed by plastic surgeons or dermatologists who are
specially trained include mesotherapy, hair transplant, non-evidence
based products (injectables) such as Botox, Vitamin C, placenta
extract, stem cells, growth hormones etc; cellulite control and
invasive procedures for cellulite removals, aesthetic venous
treatment, aptos/contour threads and curl lifting; and all treatments
based on lights and lasers including rejuvenating phototherapy,
intense pulse light, plasma, breast implant, eyelid surgery,
liposuction and liposelection.
